axlyles wrote: Very good. The storyline is addicting and the animation is fantastic. I can't wait for the ending of this tale in which a choice must be made and the resaults of that choice will affect the future. The series stress on an important fact: The future is not written in stone.

kherrera27 wrote: Wow! I cannot believe that I am actually giving a work by CLAMP such a low score, and I never give low scores. I agree with Galevav in that these episodes went nowhere. I found the OVA on this disc to be quite useless because it did nothing to really help the story and the character the OVA follows does not even appear again on this first DVD.

Plot-wise, this show is very confusing. I could not tell who was on which side. There are too many characters. I am afraid to even finsh watching X because CLAMP's manga has been on a hiatus for years, so there is no definite ending. The show was made to tell the X/1999 story better than movie did; and I have heard the TV series even falls in that category. However, I have not read the manga because the version (with VIZ's new logo) is hard to find, so I cannot compare this show to its original work.

Last, the features completely sucked! It might have been nice to see the special reversible DVD wrap or the special 24-page guide booklet mentioned in the features on AnimeTakeout, but I definitely did not see either. Just a trailor for the OVA was not good enough. And subtitles only for the Japanese dialogue makes this show impossible to watch with the English audio if you cannot read Japanese. All these reasons are why I think this show "needs [some] salt."
